Doncaster East P394

Project Description

This project in Doncaster East was designed to make a statement. Their block was part of a brand new subdivision that already had a few lovely houses, so this house had to fit in. We have made such a statement, that the street looks like the driveway to their house. With 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, this Provincial style home was created with stone cladding and Baltic pine weatherboards.

The house was designed with their 2 daughters in mind, with the 2 bedrooms upstairs being quite large and having their own walk in robes. We also designed a large undercover alfresco area off the main living room. When the house was under construction, we realized that it would be a good idea to extend the decking of the alfresco across to the kitchen wall. The casement kitchen window can now be used as a servery out to the outdoor dining area.

A large excavation was needed to position the garage at a level so that the top floor wasn’t over the allowable maximum building height. We enlisted the help of a land surveyor to make sure that all the floor levels were correct all the way through the building process. The final result of the project was spectacular and you only have to look at the pictures of the finished product to see its beauty.
